Susan Korkames joined Heartland Consulting Group in January of 2015. She holds a degree in accounting and has nearly 20 years of experience in retirement planning. She especially enjoys working with small-plan administration, focusing on the needs and concerns of small businesses. In order to maintain a competitive edge when assisting clients, Susan regularly attends seminars and participates in continuing education opportunities.
When working with clients, Susan focuses on the health of existing retirement plans. She actively identifies plan weaknesses and helps the client develop a strategy for corrective action. Utilizing a full suite of services tailored to small-plan management, she instills confidence in plan sponsors. She checks carefully to make sure each plan she administers operates within administrative compliance and the standards set by current legislation.
People are drawn to Susan for more than her administrative skills. A naturally warm person, she is a great conversationalist and enjoys meeting people from all over the world in order to expand her own world view. She takes every opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren and also enjoys reading and playing cards and board games.
